Heart-wrenching and powerful...All My Rage is a Young Adult novel, but should be read by EVERYONE. This Princess Kills Monsters
ViewStaff Pick
A queer fairy-tale retelling loosely based on The Twelve Huntsmen. It's an incredibly satirical, humorous, zany, and chaotic ride you won't want to get off of. A campy but heartwarming princess is attacked on the journey to marry a king she has absolutely no interest in marrying, and decides it's about time she slays her own monsters.
-
The Tainted Cup
ViewStaff Pick
Sherlock-and-Watson style murder mystery set in a fantasy Lovecraftian-like world. If you're a fan of The Witcher, giant monsters, or botanical horror this is the book for you. It's witty and eccentric, with a main character who is disastrous yet endearing. When a high ranking officer is killed by strange and horrific means, a brilliant but incredibly strange investigator and her assistant are called in to solve the unsolvable case.
-
All Systems Red
ViewStaff Pick
A slice-of-life style novella about a sassy, self-aware, introverted murder robot hired as security for a planetary mission who would much rather watch TV all day. It's just an overall GREAT book. The story is a good change of pace from lengthy novels, and can't help but become one of your favourite series of all time.
-
Project Hail Mary
ViewStaff Pick
Absolute crowd pleaser. It's a great novel to get you into sci-fi, or even just to buddy read with your friends. A scientist sent on a humanity-saving mission wakes up on a ship with the rest of his crew dead, and no memories of how they got there. Project Hail Mary is a delightful book about the resilience of human beings, but more importantly, it's a book about friendship.
